  • What is the difference between Vegetarian, Vegan, Pescatarian, and Gluten-free?

    Vegan vs. Vegetarian

Two specific versions of a plant-based diet are vegetarianism and veganism.

Both vegetarianism and veganism include plant-based foods and exclude meat, seafood, and poultry. The main difference between vegan and vegetarian diets is that veganism does not include any animal-based products. However, there are three types of vegetarians:

    Lacto-vegetarians: Consume dairy products.

Lacto-ovo-vegetarians: Consume dairy products and eggs.

Ovo-vegetarians: Eat eggs as their only animal protein

    Pescatarians

Eat a mostly plant-based diet that includes fish and other seafood.

    Gluten Free

A gluten free diet involves excluding foods that contain gluten, found in wheat, rye and barley.

Plum Leaf is not a gluten-free bakery, and we do not make allergy-free items.
